The Thankful Heart

This got me thinking !
A man reached 70 years of age and was affected by a disease which made him unable to pee. The doctors told him that he needs an operation to cure the disease. He agreed to do the operation as the problem was giving him severe pain for days. When the operation was completed the doctor gave him a bill which covered all the costs. After looking at the bill, the man started crying. Upon seeing this, the doctor said "If the cost is too high then we could make some other arrangements for you."The old man replied, "I am not crying because of the money but I am crying because God let me pee for 70 years and He never sent me a bill!" Have you thanked God for His countless blessings today?

How much we take seemingly "little things" for granted as if it's our right! We are so quick to complain about all the evil things happenings around,all that has gone wrong but never for once think of expressing gratitude!

Thank Him for all you can ever think for! Even for unanswered prayers,what about those prayers you never prayed and He answered?

If you had a child who always made request,complains about all that you haven't done,makes you feel like a useless parent and never appreciate you-how will you feel? So has many of us been like that this year!

Let me give you just 10 things in case you think you have none,though they are countless viz:

1. For the privilege to pee
2. For the privilege to poo
3. For the privilege to even feel sleepy
4. For the privilege of being hungry
5. For sanity
6. For the miracle of sleeping and waking
7. For sound health
8. For the hair on your head
9. For the air you breath
10. That you are alive to read this message!

Now which of these things could you have made possible by your power?

Please give thanks to God and say to Him " great is thy faithfulness O Lord".
